Tahnee Grady is a children’s book writer based in Perth, Western Australia. From a young age, Tahnee has always enjoyed writing stories, letting her imagination take her to unknown places. Tahnee started playing the violin from 3 years of age, and used to play with the WA Youth Orchestra. She has worked as a hairstylist in a family business, which saw her travel around Australia, winning National awards, has worked interstate and overseas as well as working on movie sets. Tahnee also studied psychology at Curtin University.
Being in a creative world has always inspired Tahnee. She has lived with her husband and three children in Paris. Living in such a beautiful city, provided the perfect backdrop which inspired Tahnee to start her writing journey.
Upon returning to Perth Tahnee began writing her debut book “Rosie and the Oak Tree Fairies.” Tahnee created this story, to entice children back into their gardens, to get away from an electronic world, and back into nature, to find the beauty and magic that lies all around us. It is her hope that children leave their devices and enjoy the outdoors, and perhaps look at finding their special place in nature. Because magic happens when you believe.
